At Ostfalia, there are a variety of student working groups and initiatives in which students can get involved and apply the knowledge they have learnt during their studies directly in practice.
Cross-location
Expect - Fair your future
Interdisciplinary student project teams from all Ostfalia locations organise their own company contact fair together with the Career Service. They are the contact persons for the participating companies, develop ideas for the event concept including budget planning and controlling and much more.

Students for ChanGeS is a student initiative that is actively committed to improving the situation of students with health restrictions. Campus38 - the Ostfalia Newsroom
Campus38 (external link, opens in a new window) is the multimedia news portal for young people in the region38 - created by the teaching editorial teams in the Media Communication (B.A.) and Media Management (B.A.) degree programmes at Ostfalia. Hard news is the world of Campus 38, which is covered in reports, features or interviews - whether as text, audio podcast or video.
ImPuls - Student Sports Counselling e.V.
ImPuls e.V. (external link, opens in a new window) is not only an interesting opportunity for students of sports management to combine their studies with professional practice. Students from other faculties, especially those studying Media Management and Media Design, are also very welcome. The members of ImPuls e.V. develop ideas and concepts related to sport in the Human Resources, Marketing/Press, Quality Management and Finance departments as well as in a wide variety of project groups, which are organised as "Gesellschaft bürgerlichen Rechts (GbR)". Develop ideas and concepts related to sport and support their realisation. Clients include companies and clubs such as Eintracht Braunschweig (development of a social media concept), sports associations and event organisers.
OHR - the Ostfalia university radio station
The student radio station of the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences. It broadcasts a 24-hour programme of music and information. Made by students for students!
Ostfalia Media Network
The Ostfalia Media Network is an alumni and student association that offers a suitable platform for students, graduates and companies to exchange ideas, network and promote careers. The focus is on promoting new contacts to build a centralised network for media managers.
SPO-MAN
SPO (external link, opens in a new window) is a network of sports management students at Ostfalia. Founded in 2004, SPO-MAN now networks around 450 current and former sports managers from Salzgitter.
UniLog
UniLog is a student initiative in the field of logistics. The core competences of the association are networking between students, alumni and companies as well as linking theory and practice. The initiative also provides a platform for the exchange of ideas between members.

Campus Wolfenbüttel
Movie - the film club
The student film club Movie (external link, opens in a new window) provides fun and entertainment. Film screenings take place every Tuesday at 8 pm in the Ostfalia auditorium, Salzdahlumerstr. 46/48 in Wolfenbüttel. The club fee for the semester is 30 cents; admission per film is €1.
Ostfalia Cup
The aim of the working group is to further develop an autonomously driving car on a scale of 1:10 that can navigate itself around obstacles, through junctions and into parking spaces. Students can gain practical experience in areas such as sensor technology, image recognition and simulation. Ostfalia sailing group
The Ostfalia sailing group (external link, opens in a new window) aims to get students and employees interested in sailing. It consists of sailing students and former sailing students who have already undergone sailing training and now take part in sailing trips as trainees or co-skippers or organise and take responsibility for sailing trips themselves as skippers. The sailing group currently consists of around 50 people.
Team Screwdrivers
The Screwdrivers team at Ostfalia - consisting of mechanical engineering students - has set itself the task of building a vehicle that is powered solely by a cordless screwdriver. Further information can be found on the HAWK Hildesheim homepage (external link, opens in a new window).
The Bridge e.V.
The Bridge e.V. (external link, opens in a new window) association is made up of students, young professionals and people interested in social work. Scene people use fields of action in social work to socialise, emancipate and activate in a variety of ways using the medium of hip hop. The association regularly organises workshops with graffiti activities, e.g. at events.
Velo Racing Team
Velo-Racing Team is to become an interdisciplinary team of Ostfalia students. This team will deal with the development, design, construction and testing of a new racing velomobile. The first major goal is to create a racing velomobile (OS-Velo) suitable for everyday use for speeds above 100 km/h.
WF Wolves - The Ostfalia RoboCup team
The RoboCup team won the world championship title in summer 2008 at the International Soccer Competition in China and in summer 2010 at the Mixed Reality League in Singapore, and in 2013 they became German champions. Forest garden Am Exer
The forest garden Am Exer (external link, opens in a new window) is a project by students and alumni for the near-natural design of gardens and meadows for public use. The forest garden is located on the Am Exer campus in WF on the green area behind the shooting range at Exer 21, right next to the volleyball court.
Wolfsburg Campus
Model United Nations
The Model United Nations are national and international conferences that take place in several languages and simulate the comprehensive work of the United Nations. In this way, students have the opportunity to train their understanding of complex political issues, intercultural skills and confidence in the use of foreign languages and presentation techniques. Looking to the future, the delegation plans to establish itself further at Ostfalia across all faculties in order to give as many interested students as possible the opportunity to expand their interdisciplinary competences and language skills by participating in a conference. At the regular Debate Nights, interested parties and students from all faculties are invited to take part in debates on selected topics in English.
Ostfalia Musikschmiede
Since 2011, the Ostfalia-Musikschmiede (external link, opens in a new window) has had a band practice room where the musicians among us can meet on weekdays after the library closes and make music together. When enough music groups have come together, music and entertainment evenings with an audience and other events can be organised.
Practice regulars' table
The regulars' table is aimed at students from all faculties who have been working for a longer period of time before their studies, regardless of whether they are already in a higher semester or have just started their studies. At the regulars' table, you can exchange ideas with other students and discuss questions about studying or exams, but also talk about how to harmonise family, studies or sometimes even a job. If you are interested, simply register in StudIP under the event "Praxisstammtisch".
Team e.wolf
Team e.wolf (external link, opens in a new window) is an interdisciplinary student project group that has been working intensively on autonomously driving model vehicles since 2012. The aim is to build a self-designed model car on a scale of 1:10 so that it can autonomously navigate a course with obstacles that can also be dynamic.
Team wob-racing
The wob-racing team (external link, opens in a new window) focuses on the design, production and testing of racing cars. Students with a passion for motorsport are very welcome to join this team.
